Default weak tight fright night feels right

100/200 live, time pot, 7 players dealt in.

In the hijack Millie opens. I 3-bet JJ from the button, she 4-bets, I call (5b cap).

History -- our last online session a few days ago she (or at least, her screenname, PokerSnoopy) tortured me. In the big picture I know she respects my game and I think in general she plays me pretty straight forward. She is recently seated tonight and this is our first pot vs eachother.

Flop AA8. She checks, I check. Turn 6. She bets, I call. River 4. She bets, I fold.

Thoughts?

I think betting the flop would have made this hand easier to play. If you really believe her, then you can fold to a flop check-raise. If she only calls, now you have the option of seeing a showdown for just 1 SB more than what you paid. If you think you're ahead then you can continue to v-bet.

How can she ever have a worse hand than JJ? It would be an insane weird/sophisticated bluff, to check the flop, when she has a chance to steal it for 1SB right here.

The turn is a fold, she has KK or QQ always here.

I feel like I've made a lot of money in my life playing these spots right. For folding to be wrong, she has to be one level 1 or 3. Either checking just because she has nothing (very unlikely) or checking with nothing to represent WA/WB to move you off a hand exactly like you had (super unlikely).

This fold is a lot easier to make on 2+2, than in real life though.

After calling the turn, river fold is a must - you seem to play the river really well in general from what I've seen.

Maybe not super expert, but far from awful right? She's been a high stakes regular for a long time now.

lol *thinks back to table chat earlier*

As for the hand itself... I think it's real a good fold... Against a 4-bet you're boned each and every time it seems, sometimes a chop with JJ.

Expert laydown that'd never be correct online but makes a lot of sense live
