I don't see it. I think this disrespect is going to motivate the team. It's not like they come in with the attitude that they'll cruise through their first round game, I think they'll come ready to play.

At least, please god, let that happen.

People just have no idea how the Cougs play. A team that D's up like them is going to be harder to upset. Weird how they got so [censored]-on/ignored for the coverage.

I can't believe UW got left out of the NIT. That's a [censored] joke (as was the 'Cuse not getting in over Ark.

i don't know that i agree that they would be harder to upset dfensive teams in general because of the lower scoring games. now in the cougs case i think they are hard to get upset because they are so disciplined and their strength comes from methotical perimeter play.

and i don't know if anyone watched the nit show but the head of the committee came on and basically said they didn't really count records or stats at all. main crieria was which team the guys on the comittee wouldn't want to face. makes it even more unbeliveable that they left out washington.

Reading more about UW, part of what kills them is that they were horrible on the road, and some of their better wins at the time (LSU) ended up looking not as good by the end of the season.

Talent wise though, I'm not sure there's a team in the NIT I think is close.

BUMP

One of my buddies says it will be announced today that Tony Bennett has signed a new 7-year coaching deal with WSU. No other details yet, but I hope it's true!! I knew he wouldn't leave!!
