Default Playing small pairs UTG or otherwise EP

I came accross a situation last night where I had 22 UTG and 44 UTG+1 and was stumped for about a second.

In the 22 hand my image was TAG and the last hand I showed down was KK. To make a long story short I limped and got a button call and a BB checked. BTW the VPIP was 30 and PFR was 8.5 because of a guy on my right who kept raising. Had a session PFR of 20.

SO what's your play guys?

I think depending on the table I fold this hand at really tight tables and limp on loose ones.

The 44 hand was at a really loose table and just based on the implied odds of flopping a set I called. In that game 6 went to the flop. Easy pre-flop call?

If I missed either I c/f flop.

In a very loose game, you can play any pair.

If you don't have any other post flop lines, I think you should fold these hands from OOP unless it looks like you have a good chance of stealing the blinds.
