Default Seriously - was I in the wrong here?

NLHE, 6-max; blinds are $2/$3 at bodog; $300 max buy-in table.

I'm UTG+1 and get 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I limp in.

Player to my direct left raises to $14. He had just bought in and has exactly $300.

There's $22 in the pot and I call $11 making it a $33 pot.

Flop is 5 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and I wind up stacking his butt.

To which he proceeds to call me every name in the book, but more precisely criticizing my preflop call. I think the implied odds make it an easy call.

Thoughts?

Looking for input on how to play it, not bragging or asking if it was a bad beat. God I hate morons who can answer a legit question.

wtf is your question? You didn't even include postflop action aside from "stacking his butt"

You know the answer to this question, calling 14 for a chance to win an additional 286 is an obvious call. Just because some donkey berated you saying otherwise doesn't mean a thing.

Wtf is the question, whether or not the preflop play is fine? Don't be a douche because he "isn't answering a legit question"

Nope, this call is fine. Don't listen to table captains.

(I usually prefer raising preflop myself, though.)

Dont open limp in 6 max. As played the call for implied odds was fine of course. When fish are mad they play worse and try to hunt you down with a wider range of hands. This is good, value bet him hard.
