[OT] Tech info on making vids
OP by Triggerle
Mods please sticky or make easily available somewhere - I just spent 15 minutes trying to find this [ QUOTE ] Triggerle made a nice guide on making videos in microbrew [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I suck with PC's so I have no idea what you just said... [/ QUOTE ] Camtasia is pretty straightforward so I'm not going to explain. Just make sure you produce your video as a .avi in the end. Get the xvid codec from http://www.xvid.org/ Install xvid codec. Get virtualdub from http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ Start Virtual Dub and open the video file you got out of camtasia. In the Audio menu check that "source audio" and "direct stream copy" are checked. In the video menu select "compression" In the following pop-up select "XVID" and press "configure". Fill in the 3 top fields as indicated by the screenshot. Save your compressed video. This could take a few minutes, depending on your computer speed. If the video comes out too blurry try again with a higher bitrate. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: [OT] Tech info on making vids
I got one more step. This seriously reduces blurryness at low bitrates:
