Default Bushes and seeing them in church, hypocritical ?

Anyone else think it's hypocritical when you see Bush Sr or Jr going to church ? I mean they've killed together hundreds of thousands of people throughout the world and to see them going to church just makes me shake my head. Are they really good Christians ? Do they believe their doing the right thing ? I don't believe in the same god as others do I don't think an invisible man is in the sky watching every move and has 10 specific things he doesn't want you to do. Maybe they don't either but how do you feel ? I just think you could take all those billions they spend on military worldwide, use it to feed, clothe, educate people worldwide many times over.

1.) Christians aren't pacifists
2.) Bush SR didn't start his war
3.) Spending money doesn't fix world hunger, or educate the masses. If money was the only problem, it'd be a pretty easy solution

I think Bush thinks he is doing the right thing, but I also can imagine that it is difficult to face families of dead soldiers and such, and going to Church gives him strength.

When I was a kid, Frank Church would always show up at my church during election time. Preachers and politicians compliment one another; they’re in very similar rackets.

2.) Bush SR didn't start his war

[/ QUOTE ]

After we failed to bring Iran and Iraq to their knees by feeding them both arms during their war, we found Iraq in economic peril and Sadaam a target for removal, if we could cause such economic havoc that the people would no longer tolerate his rule.

So, we sent the CIA into Kuwait.

Hello Kuwait. Flood the market the market with oil, cause the prices to tumble and we will protect you. You will be an ally of the Good Ol' US of A forever, and never have a thing to worry about.

Iraq goes to OPEC & the OAS numerous times, pleading their case: Kuwait is not playing fair. They are flooding the market with oil and not abiding by the rules for production set out by OPEC. They are causing economic hardship upon our country.

Every time, both organizations agree with Iraq and tell Kuwait to play by the rules and every time Kuwait ignores Iraq, OPEC and the OAS.

For a little country, they sure do have big ballz.

Even when Iraq's words get more hostile, talking about how Kuwait's actions are an act of war. Even when Iraq starts sending troops & machines to the border, Kuwait acts like they are GOD and ignores everyone.

Iraq even goes so far as to say "See us preparing on the border for invasion? Now will you stop flooding the market?" They even go to OPEC & OAS one last time, and both agree with Iraq.

Kuwait ignores.

Bush Sr. started that war, just like his son found an excuse to invade.

I think so too. The "right thing" not being for the world or this country, but for the industrial complex and himself.

Damn right the aren't!! Just read the history on the Catholic church.

I can't think of any politician or military officer who didn't refer to God prior to battle.

God is imaginary friend for grownups, and, since so many grownups believe in the same imaginary friend, they can gain so many supporters by preaching their belief in it.

Christianty is a death-cult, and that kind of thing sounds exactly what such people would do.

Contrary to popular belief, believing in invisible friends and doing what they tell you, and following other people around who have trained you to fantasize about them, etc, is not exactly a peaceful and spiritual gathering.

Ofcourse they are goods Christians. The great thing about religion is that you can have it be whatever you want it to be! Some people believe in the peaceful Jesus, others believe in the tyrannical bloodlust Jesus. Did you ever see that big Jesus movie? It's like 80% blood pain and torture and people LOVED it. wtf.

Or: don't steal it in the first place. People don't extort and rape a whole population for the purpose of helping people. This is why socialism/communism sucks balls because you have to look at their method. They may talk about helping other people but their method is a ruling class dictatorship. If you want to help people, fine, but get that gun out of my face and we'll talk.
