yeah that's why I gave up on it. Seif was horrible and the other guy did nothing but spout cliches every chance he got.

For that matter, wasn't there supposed to be some league (PPL?) where the top 64 players were drafted by two team captains. I remember hearing them chat about the draft on high stakes at some point last year. Did that die on the launch pad?

I was actually at The Venetian the day the PPL drafted and played in a tournament with all the players who were in the PPL. Very exciting night, and the pros def. were excited about the league ...

But the TV station (HD-something) pulled its backing of the league and sponsorship, so the league never got off the ground.

I didn't like the idea of the PPL, but I wouldn't say it bombed or failed or whatever. The sponsors pulled out when the UIGEA passed. It never really had a chance to succeed or fail.

The PPT - I liked the shows, but in hindsight it was really only the coverage of the entire tournament that made it good to me. I like seeing early and middle round action. A pro-loaded field was a nice idea, but it was countered by being a freeroll with a relatively small prize pool, which meant that many of the pros weren't really trying that hard.
