Security of playing online poker in hotel rooms

Hey all,

I am going on a short golf vacation and was thinking of bringing my laptop with me incase I get the urge to play during the evenings. Are there any questions I should ask the hotel staff before leaving to see if I should just leave my computer at home, with regards to the security of the connection? As well, is there any thing I can do on my end to make things more secure if I do choose to bring my laptop and play?
