Love the concept, astro. And lol at "music for bloggers."

These guys have been talked about quite a bit by the resident hipsters. I think there have even been a few threads about them. Anyway, they are probably in the top 3 live bands I've ever seen, but a lot of that could have had to do with setting and/or my condition.

Aphex Twin , Windowlicker

I think I posted this video in a thread about videos a while back. The video is awesome, and despite not being into electronic music I really enjoy his stuff.

Artist: Nick Drake

Song: River Man

Just discovered his music fairly recently myself, really great stuff.

One last one, probably most will hate it but is an interesting former black metal band that have really matured their sound, suspect the vocalist might be too much for some but the music I think is pretty interesting.

Rotting Christ Wiki

Paradise Lost

Anathema

Epica

Wiki's for the other bands added cos I suck totally.

my favorite band of all time, Big Star:

wiki

live performance of "September Gurls"

(their best work is almost 35 years old, so the live performance isn't as crisp, and Alex Chilton's voice has aged noticably. but damn, the music is amazing.)
