ICWTSHMDRTT I Can't Wait To See How Many DimWits Reply To This... [/ QUOTE ] Your troll is lame. You didn't say anything whose stupidity is outrageous or amusing. You said something that is commonly stated here by people who actually believe it. Then you insult people who are willing to help the ignorant. It would be fitting if the next time you ask for directions or see a doctor, lawyer, or accountant, you get bad advice from someone who thinks he is being hilarious. |

[ QUOTE ] actually, it's not mine. i read, not sure if it's true or not, this betting pattern is the reason games have max bet limits today. [/ QUOTE ] Nope. Just let the floor know your plan when you come in, and they'll be happy to help you impliment it. Those casino managers are such chumps. -Sam [/ QUOTE ] Did you mean "implement"? |

Phizer makes some good drugs that will calm you down? If you took a second and read the whole thread instead of just trolling me like a twit. You would see that 99% of this thread is based on humor so chill out. A guy getting bent out of shape over the Martengale system WOW!!! |

Phzon huh ??? [/ QUOTE ] Is it really that hard to copy a 5-letter name, even if you can't figure out what it means? You are about the 100th to get that wrong. Did you think you were being witty and cutting-edge? [ QUOTE ] If you took a second and read the whole thread instead of just trolling me like a twit. You would see that 99% of this thread is based on humor so chill out. [/ QUOTE ] Of course I read the thread. Your math is way off, as is your usage of the word "troll." I'm not objecting to humor. I'm saying that your attempt was pathetic, because what you said (repeatedly) was not humorously outrageously stupid, or humorously surprisingly stupid. It was just mundane ignorance and stupidity, as though we don't have enough of that here. You must be great at parties. You demand to be the center of attention, then use a common stereotype to insult someone, repeat it when given the chance to back down, and then say it was a joke and no one has a sense of humor, that it is the fault of the listeners if they don't find you fascinating. I will ignore you henceforth. |

I highly recommend reading the wizard of odds page, particularly his essays on betting systems.
Google 'wizard of odds' for info. |

Re: Double your bet when you lose??
Better yet, try out a simulator. http://www.iansharpe.com/art_martingale.php
You'll figure out that with a high enough BR, you'll have more winning sessions on average, but you'll still be cleaned out often enough for it to be a losing strategy overall. I would set this up as single 0, to reduce the house edge. Note: Someone is bound to punch in $1 billion or something, and they'll probably notice they can't stop winning. Be assured that in the long run, you're going to lose your $1 billion bankroll often enough to overcome all of those relatively small wins you get. |

Re: Double your bet when you lose??
It is SO cool when you have to stack like a suitcase full of money on the table, and you win, and pack all the money back into the suitcase and then push a single $1 chip out there.

Re: Double your bet when you lose??
A friend of mine had this brilliant idea in Vegas... it proceeded to work for the first hour or so, he would stack his puny nickels up like he was a genius, then a bad shoe came along and he lost enough in a row to cap out the 1000$ limit... he makes well into the 6 figure range per year so I felt like I could laugh at him as I walked over to the poker table...
high risk/low reward... bad idea... although theoretically with an unlimited bank roll and no table limit it seems as a guaranteed way to win... albeit a small amount |
