Default 10-20, I was going to check behind

10-20 in AC.

I think the following hand might have caused a big meta-game shift for the rest of my session, just want to know if its ok in some of your guys' opinions. I'm going to post some of the hands it led to later.

The villain in this hand (SB) is a regular, a little on the loose side, probably not a winner, but not bad either.

6-handed because the game is just opening (people are away from the table getting chips).

UTG (4-off button) raises, I 3-bet in CO with 7 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Button (bad) cold-calls. SB (villain) coldcalls. UTG calls.

Flop K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].

SB donks, UTG folds, I raise, CO folds, SB calls.

Turn 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].

SB donks.

Please let me know 1. if I spewed already, or if the action so far is ok, and 2. given what I've done so far what the best option is here on the turn, and if its close.

Thank you for your comments.

That board is D......R......, sofaking-dry there is no Y. What do you think he is betting? This is live poker, he's got it, and if he dont he's got more than you and he aint folding it.

I fold preflop. In a regular shorthanded game 3betting with 77 here might be fine but I'm not counting on unknowns opening their raising standards until I see it.

Fold turn.

If SB checks you should have been the turn though - checking behind is yucky.

PF is fine but I'd like more of a read before I 3 bet 77. In a regular online 6max its a pretty standard 3 bet but if his opening standards haven't changed from his FR game then it could be a fold.

Flop: I just toss it. One of the nice things about over representing your hand is that its easier to figure out when beat. Like joe said, this board is dry and with your pf 3 bet, that K is supposed to hit you, no the cc'ing sb. He's not donking a 2 or 5 and he's unlikely to have 34 so his hand range is weighted heavily toward Kx type hands like KJ, KQ, AK, and KTs. Just toss it.

Turn: Toss it, what does he think you have? He's gotta put you on a K and he's not afraid. Since you don't have a K you should be

nied, If you don't 3bet 77 here, you are giving up too much in a 6handed game.

Rob, if my previous comment was unclear - your 3bet has back-fired. Instead of getting the pot HU where your hand is ahead of PFR's range, you are now seeing the flop 4handed. True, the flop of k52r is pretty freaking sweet and I'm betting this flop and turn 100% of the time, the instant someone else shows any interest in the pot, I am gone. My 77 has been reduced to a bluff representing some pair TT or better on this board, and the instant they don't believe me, I'm gone.

I think I would fold preflop, on the flop, and on the turn.

But it's really a 10 handed game that happens to have 6 players at the moment... if that makes sense.

People aren't so stupid that they can't look around and see there are only 6 people at the table. I agree that there is a difference btwn a game that has been 6 handed or an hour, and one that has been 6handed for 3 minutes, but.... come on!
