difficult river situation against tilting player
just bluffed this guy in a previous hand and showed it to him, so i think he is tilting. Plays rather loose preflop as well

I understand in normal situations this is a fold, but he is making an extreme overbet in this pot. He did this one time earlier when he turned an open ended straight draw and then shoved 27 into a 10 dollar pot. he could easily have any two here. |

If he didn't have an ace I'm amazed.

Re: difficult river situation against tilting player
the pot is ~15 dollars, so betting 43 is quite an over bet...that is why i was confused. my first thought was folding, but like i said he could easily have a lone 6 here.
if we are saying my 7s are a fold, then what range of hands do i need to make it a call profitably? |

Re: difficult river situation against tilting player
thats different, a weak bet he raises, looka like he likes to pounce on supposed weakness, just set up a trap up for him when you have a good hand, not a marginal hand-- why would you lose your stack here over a pair of 7's... understand he likes to overbet and find a better spot

Re: difficult river situation against tilting player
i agree with you reef, i was just wondering if i can call this bet with an ace or 1010-kk.
i folded the hand mentioned above because i merely had 7s, but i was wondering what range i can make that call with. it is an extremely large over bet and he could easily have q high. i would think that if he had trips or a straight, he would actually make a bet that i could call, but i could be wrong. i showed him a bluff previously so i can get paid off in the future. i dont have the holdings for that this hand, but if i had JJ would it be any different? |

Re: difficult river situation against tilting player
no, i don't think so, even kk is marginal with that ace-- realize donks make dumb plays but you can't pay them off, i would call with a 10 and above here, i would really like to see you fire a double barrel at that a turn, because thats a good scare card (also acting like you raised with ace high and hit it) and theres no way he calls without an ace
