If I had to give one piece of advice to tuff_fish, it's this:

Stop playing like you're absolutely terrified of entering a pot. You play no limit like you're deathly afraid of what might happen if you do, and you only play when you feel the cards absolutely compel you to, and then you do everything you can to immediately shut down the action as quickly as possible.

You remind me of the old locals I used to play 5/5 with at the "riverboat" casino here. They all played like they had their life savings on the table and were forced at gunpoint to sit in and all that mattered was not losing. I saw a dude open push AA preflop because "He didn't want them to get cracked." Just completely terrified of anything except entering a pot when absolutely necessary and then getting the hell out.

You need to worry about things like getting value from your good hands and controlling the pot size with your medium strength ones, not overbetting because you're afraid of what might happen if you let another card come off and you just really really really want everyone to go away.

Relax! It's just a game!
