I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to accomplish. Why are you trying to hide your IP? You tell me what you're trying to do and I'll tell you if Tor is right for that.

You probably need a VPN or proper proxy. I don't know that TOR will work for you

oh, i got banned from a place and a family member who shares my pc wants an account there. i was concerned there might be a problem.

thats misleading, its goal is to keep the origin anonymous, not to encrypt your data. encryption should be at application level. last hop can see your packets
