We need to know if this is spiced rum or not. 7up and spiced rum is delicious, tastes like cream soda.

Miami Vice.... Half frozen Pina Colada, half Frozen Strawberry Daqueri..... Cup should be half red and half white at serve. Mixes together a bit as it melts.... kinda girly, but goooooood.

1. Carve up a grapefruit
2. Make a fine rum punch
3. Toss in a blotter (optional)

Last friday I felt like getting a bit drunk and I wasn't in the mood for beer so I bought a bottle of rum. As I expected, it tasted like crap but I consumed a lot of it by holding my nose while drinking. I still have over half the bottle left so I'm interested in some ways to consume it without having it taste so horrible.

Because it's really hot out there, go with a Caipirinha

I think you are thinking of a mojito, caipirinha is made w/ cachaca (sp?). A mojito, which is pretty similar, but its made w/ rum.

I usually hate spiced rum, btw, but in cold weather spiced rum and chai tea is very good. Not as good as a cold drink though.

Yeah, I really think the best solution is to buy better rum. Here are two to look for:

Cruzan estate light rum. For me, this stuff costs exactly the same as Bacardi, but it's much higher quality. They actually oak age it, so it's both smoother and more flavorful.

Mount Gay Barbados Rum. This is a gold colored rum, but it has more flavor than the cheaper dark rums. It's also a great buy.
