calls - this gives us the most information, as the tag will raise when he has a piece of the board, and we already have odds to draw to our nut flush 69 75.82%
raises - hoping to push the tag out and get headsup with the lag for a turn cont bet. We're sure that the lag doesnt have an ace because of the pf action, and he may fold the turn on a blank after our line. If the tag threebets we'll just call and draw t 12 13.19%
raises - hoping that the tag will reraise so that we can cap. we want as much money in the pot as possible with this hand, since our equity is at 35% 10 10.99%

UB. just finished up, +8533. pretty sick swings in there. there was a cool 87s suck-resuck hand on a monotone flop vs aba20, and a T7s hand where i turned a gutshot and got all my money in to win a 23K pot vs a set. i probably played them both horribly, but when you think about it, i DID win!

I don't think any play that involvves possibly playing both 20/40 holdem and 500/1000 holdem is a good one. What set of circumstances could lead to that course of action?

Add me to the list of people that answered Baron's HUSH post with, "OK, I'll sweat you for a bit at 3/6," and are now perplexed at how he could be playing 500/1000.

Default DAY 1

Day one started off pretty bad, -17K or so. quickly turned aroudn after a good session, ended the morning up 5K

got back in the afternoon/evening, played some more hands, made another 5K

watched a movie with the girl across the hall (love and basketball lol) and got back to pokering.

made another 8K. calling it a day, even though i only got about 7 hours in.

Yeah, back in fall when I was a losing $1/2 player he was posting in the same forum as me playing like $3/6. Now he's playing a lot/a lot x2 and I'm stuck at $5/10. It sucks to suck.

Baron I wish you the best of luck but honestly I think with personal goals like these you inevitably set yourself up for failure or as someone mentioned end up hating the game.
Staying out of bad games is excellent and I thinka monthly hands played goal is fine.

I like options 1,5,6,7 and 8 and 6 I'm not to keen of. What's so special about the 500 that you need to play it? Are UBs 150 and 300 games not enough?

I think 2,3, and 4 are awful unless you consider these "goals" and not "things I must accomplish."
