Re: Razz - who calls 4th?
Given that everyone limped there is probably a good chance that you have the best 4 card hand. Also, Seat 4 just called rather than raised. On the downside, there are 3 dead 5's, 1 dead 3 and 1 dead 2 and only one of your cards is out. I would call 4th but be ready to bail if Seat 7 or seat 4 caught good and you caught bad on 5th.
I think you should have probably raised on 3rd. |

I think if opponents are not tight and not habitual limpers there is no need to think you are behind.

They limped everything, (after they got done jamming with 2J9 and losing big pots) if you raise they call everything, they never go out so they suck out often and you never know where you are. This is why I am a losing player at .25/.50 on FT. I feel like folding is pretty nitty, even for me, and I should have called one more. I believe I will take a short Razz vacation. prax<---throwing horseshoes in the backyard at midnight |

Re: Razz - who calls 4th?
I don't know if this is the right way to look at this, but if you call here, what are you really hoping for? Ideally, you'd like to make your Eight on fifth while the other two don't improve. About anything else may force you to fold. There are 42 unseen cards. Twenty of them will give seat 4 either a pair or Nine through King. Twenty-one of them will do the same for seat 7. Meanwhile, 11 of them will make you an Eight or better.
(20/42)*(11/42)*(21/42) ~= .06 So about six percent of the time I'm going to like my hand on fifth street. I think you've got a fold here. |

Re: Razz - who calls 4th?
I like the overlimp and I fold 4th. You really have to look at the fact that you have dead cards. A complete would be bad due to dead cards and nonwheel cards. You may have the best hand on 4th, but this is hard to play against much better boards, and the dead cards don't bode well.

Forth is a fold. Even with the best case scenario means that your hand is too vunerable at this point to continue.
