Re: a hand from 1/2 razz
Surely you're not saying you're folding 4th or 5th, right?

Looks fine to me. You're definitely pot-stuck on sixth. I'm anxious to learn why jamming fourth is a mistake. [/ QUOTE ] Me too. I think TT is just teasing us. |

Re: a hand from 1/2 razz
Prax,
I did have (A4)23 on 4th. I knew seat 8 was a loose peeler so I wanted to give him a chance to fold or call 2 and maybe 3 more bets on 4th. Beyond 4th my hand plays itself. |

Re: a hand from 1/2 razz
FOUR HANDED you won't call with A67? Are you serious? Hell, I'm not folding it very often at a full table. Depending on the cards I might not call 2 cold with it, unless the A was up, but then again I might. Honestly I don't even know where you're coming from there - I play tighter than 90% of the nits at most tables I'm at (I'm in the 21-22% vpip range at full tables) and I'm not convinced I don't play too tight.
I would only call 3rd because by no means do I want a bloated pot, yet. The same thing goes on 3rd as 4th but your 3-way edge is much less PLUS the real bonus of capping 4th is if you can get the guy to fold there or on 5th, donating his dead money - on third there is no dead money to split between you and the other guy so there is not the extra incentive (beyond earning more equity) to drive him out. On 4th there is extra equity if he folds + dead money if he folds + ev equity if he calls along |

I assume you won? Oh - I forgot, I already knew you won. I'll take instinct over equity every time. And don't worry Wetdog, we can be bad Razz players together. Oh wait. "Terrible." |

Re: a hand from 1/2 razz
Any time your showdown equity % for a particular street is above 100/numberofopponents then your correct action is to raise. If heads up it would be 50%, if 3 handed 33.333...%. The fact is that seat 8 was such a underdog in the hand that the other two players were both above the 33% mark and the correct move was to keep raising.
Infact not only was forth correct but you should of jammed the pot on fifth too. Call is correct on sixth and seventh. |

Cap 5th as well, and if you dont understand why, stop playing any kind of limit poker.
