I check and call anything 1/2 pot or less against an unknown but that is based on the majority of my hands at NL10, NL20 and NL25. (I only every played NL100 before I learned about appropriate bankroll size)

Against unknown, I like blocking between a third and half the pot and folding to a raise. If the opponent is looser, you'll get a worse king or who knows what to pay you off, and if you're raised after making four bets on a 3 flush, paired board, you know you're toast.

This play isn't as good against a tricky opponent who might bluff-raise your river bet.
