Default Week 15 FF Thread - The Playoff Edition

Okay I know lots of leagues already started the playoffs - mine starts next week, assuming I win this week, having nearly double my opponent's points and Steven Jackson left to go - he has the Bears D, so it could happen.

Anyway, two questions:

There are worse problems to have, but I can't decide on my RB's:

Betts @ NO might be a good start, but if Brees puts NO up early, it will get Washington out of the running game.

Have to go with Jones-Drew who's most likely to find the end zone.

Triumph-Weren't the Redskins getting smoked yesterday and they still ran Betts. I honestly think the Washington D is in much better shape then they were earlier in the season. I see NO winning but not totally running Washington over.

triumph,

considering the players you're choosing from to start, I have no clue how your team made the playoffs

Week 1 of the playoffs. I wasn't supposed to lose but the 3rd place guy who I didn't want to face has falled to 4th.

His team is pretty sick, mine is sick as well:

His team:

QB: Brees vs Washington, Vick vs Dal
RB: Westbrook vs NYG, McAlister vs Wash, Williams vs Pitt, Jones vs TB
WR: Colston vs Was, Smith vs Pit, Wayne vs Cin, C. Johnson vs Indy
TE: Colston vs Was, Gonzo vs SD
K: Kaeding
Def: Denver vs Ari, KC vs SD

My decisions:

I don't think Gates or Chicago are decisions, neither do I really think Peyton is. I think Gore, and Betts will start at RB. WR I'm going with Roy, Devery, and Evans (Donte might be better?) K I'm thinking Gould but Gramatica would work as well. DO you guys think it's worth even keeping 2 Ks? I picked up Martin b/c Chicago's O has been bad lately and playing at home isn't condusive to Kicking right now.

Waiver Wire possibilties:

Leinert
C. Houston
B. Jacobs
Horn
Rhodes
Caldwell

Points are 6 per TD (rush, pass, rec), 1 point per 25 yards passing, 10 rushing/receiving. -1 Sack, -2 int, fumble, standard yahoo D scoring.

1 point per reception, 1 pt/10 yards rush or rec, 6pt/TD

Pick TWO:

Reggie Bush vs Washington
Stephen Jackson AT Oakland
Willie Parker AT Carolina

Thoughts and comments much appriciated.

Everyone says this every week - I leave off the fact that I have Steven Jackson and Larry Fitzgerald, but why bother including them? Should I start Steven Jackson vs. the Raiders? Tough choice.

My team right now is (12 team league, no points for receptions):

QB - Hasselbeck, Pennington, A. Smith
RB - S. Jackson, T. Henry, B. Jacobs, R. Dayne
WR - L. Fitzgerald, J. Horn, K. Johnson, D.J. Hackett, J. Jurevicius
TE - A. Gates
K - J. Hanson, M. Andersen
DEF - Bills DEF, Cardinals DEF

Through shrewd waiver pickups and sheer luck am I fluking my way into the playoffs.

Assani, this decision boils down to whether you want to start the hot hand, or the consistent performers.

Steven Jackson is a lock (pending tonight's performance, ie injury), so the decision is really between Bush and Parker.

I've always been an advocate of starting the most consistent player, then goto individual matchups if that's a wash. In this case, Parker is clearly the more consistent of the two, and even though Bush has been red-hot lately, you KNOW what you're gonna get from Parker, not really the case w/ Bush.
