300NL 4-connected board vs. doubtful LAG
Villain is 31/14/2.5 500 hands, he was getting out of line everytime and making ridiculous moves or maybe this is his regular style i dont know.
I was going for c/c but since the board was 4 connected i felt raise could be better. So how bad was that: Prima Network No-Limit Hold'em, $3.00 BB (6 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com UTG ($372.59) Hero ($303.65) CO ($77.06) Button ($341.14) SB ($320.70) BB ($723.50) Preflop: Hero is MP with T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. UTG raises to $6, Hero raises to $18, 4 folds, UTG calls $12. Re: 300NL 4-connected board vs. doubtful LAG
This thread is a perfect example of the reason I don't post here more. Someone with 45 posts who's been a 2+2er for a few months posts a hand, and gets a bunch of responses saying "wtf at every street?" and "you have to be kidding". Real helpful.
As far as the hand goes, I think if you're going to put more money in at any point in the hand you should just cbet the flop. You take it down a lot of the time, and if he calls I'd probably just shutdown. As played, I really don't like the river raise... villian suddenly springs to life when the 4-flush hits? I'd tend to believe him and be done with the hand. But yeah, definitely bet this flop a huge chunk of the time. |

Re: 300NL 4-connected board vs. doubtful LAG
as played i would just fold the river and not worry to much about it.
but im not a huge fan of preflop, (its not bad, just not usually my style to 3ball an UTG raise with TT), but if i did play PF that way i would bet flop OR the turn 100% of the time, and shut down if called, trying to see a cheap showdown. basically im happy getting one street of value on that board |
