help with Notebook + Monitor

my macbook (apple) doesnt support the higher resolutions... anyone know a way around it?

I basically asked the same question and no one responded. I looked into it abit and the best I found was an external video card, that you can setup through usb, but I don't think it's out yet, and I think it's gonna be pretty expensive when it is. If anyone knows of a better way please let us know.
