FTOPS main event, overthinking?
blinds 40/80, hero has 8500 chips, villain has 4300
The only read i have on villain lately is that he has consistently bet pot sized, and hasn't shown down many hands. hero in sb with JJ folded to me, I make it 240 bb reraises to 600 hero calls Flop 875 rainbow hero checks villain bets 360 hero raises to 1200 villain calls turn 6 hero? My thought process: The minraise preflop was out of character and suprised me. on the flop my plan was to check, then raise his pot sized bet putting him all in. He bet 360 again confusing me, i raised to 1200 planning to fold to a push. After turn i am completely lost, can i really check here and give him a good chance to bluff? can i beat anything here? I also wonder about betting out on flop, thoughts? I'll post results soon. |

I would always get it in here.
Repopping pre is good too. |

Re: FTOPS main event, overthinking?
I'd reraise preflop. He only has 100x BB, that makes JJ a very strong hand headsup. Ok its very strong anyway but when they get to the 200-400x BB range it can be scary to get allin with it PF.
Yeah they MIGHT not call with worse, but you don't know that against some random dude. Sucks to be OOP with a hand like JJ that will often flop poorly. |
