Default Grosvenor Brighton (england, yo)

I'm studying abroad in Brighton, England this semester and want to play ca$$h games here. Do they run at Grosvenor (and how the hell do you pronounce that?)? I went in and asked the brush, but he gave a rather noncommittal answer like, "sometimes after the tournament".

Any info?

Also, there's by no chance a place to play limit in this country? I'd like 30/60+, but could settle for less.

NL is lame, but I read the new book.

Thanks!

holla

Its pronounced 'grovesnuh', with more emphasis on the 'groves'

Oh, and:

Leicester is pronounced 'Lester'
Gloucester is pronounced 'Gloster'
Belvoir is pronounced 'Beaver'
Brighton is pronounced 'Brighton'

no clue if they do poker there. I would guess not. But its a quick train ride up to central london (50 minutes on the express, trains are very good despite what some may tell you), and theres plenty up there, or so I'm told.

If youre studying at the university of sussex i know some people there, its a fun place.

Hey man I live in Brighton/London - Grosvenor is absolutely awful and the biggest cash game they spread is £50 - Rendezvous casino at the Marina is a lot nicer and the biggest cash game they spread after tournaments is £200nl

Grosvenor is pronounced exactly how its spelt! Grow-ven-er.

Cash usually happens in UK Casinos around the weekend, rarely early in the week. You wont find any limit, just nl/pl holdem and occasionally PLO. To be honest there are not many places to play, but you would be best to travel to london where there is the most poker.

yeah, been to rendezvous, and it seemed really disorganized there. and i have to switch buses to get there. but worth it if they do L200.

do you know what time would be good to go? 11:30 or something? i have no interest in the tourneys, but want to be there at the start of the cash games.

also, if i do make it up to london (and yes, the trains are good), where's the best place to play? and again, it's all nl, right?

i am actually studying at uni brighton, but hang out with all my friends from school who are studying at sussex. def a fun place, and it's a lot easier than school in the us, so getting pissed every night is easily attainable.

thanks again!

www.thefullhouse.co.uk in Reigate, not too far from Brighton, has a £3-£3 PL Hold'em game and a £5-£5 PL game I think.

Hope you're enjoying Brighton, I spent six months studying at Sussex a few years back and loved it. Didn't play poker then, unfortunately.
