Default NL100 AQ... how many barrels?

Villain is 30/9/.91 over 114 hands

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $93.95
BB: $126.25
Hero (UTG): $112.05
MP: $87.95
CO: $100.00
BTN: $77.70

Preflop: Hero is dealt A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 Players)
Hero raises to $4.00, 3 folds, SB calls $3.50, BB folds

Flop: ($9) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $7.00, SB calls $7.00

Turn: ($23) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $17.00, SB calls $17.00

River: ($57) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
SB checks, Hero ????

I figure my hand to have no showdown value whatsoever. Villain only goes to SD 33% of the time, even though sample is not big. Figure my hand is a bluff, Villain has $63 remaining, do I push... bet 45-50... or chk/give up? I am UTG...

Or.... should I have not bet the turn and tried to peel an A or Q for free?

what range do you put him on? and what hands is he folding on the river when you bet?

(betting 45-50 is the same as pushing, he won't be folding to a push hands that he will call a 45 bet with imo)

From pf stats it looks like a player who might very well be passive enough to c/c three streets to often for this to work, i find myself bluffing at theese spots wayyy to often and it works like crap for me. Giving up on turn is probably best. More responses plz kthx

Checking the turn seems best according to his stats. As played, betting on the river is bad and I would just give it up at this point.

I thought checking the turn might be best, but he called really quickly on the flop so I put him on a med strength made hand... any 9, or 88-33. Therefore I felt I might be able to fold him out with another barrel.

The turn was not a good bluff card, but I was UTG and felt like flexing and fired again, this time he thought for a few seconds before calling.

Riv low and he chkd after 2 secs... hmmm. At this point I really feel like I have his hand nailed at 9x or 77-44 and a third bullet might look very strong. Pushing and $45 might give the same result, but there are $57 out there that I'd love to have.

I bet 45 and he tanked down to 5-10 secs on time bank and called with 98. Bummer. Maybe mertzo is right and this is just not a good spot to 3 barrel. However, in that case I also think chking the turn is WAYYYY better.

With the timing tells, what do you guys think about a turn chk and a river AI raise?

That 8 looks very unlikely to have helped your hand. Once a villain with stats like that has decided he's ahead he's probably not folding his hand. Donkeys are known for being stubborn animals. Check the turn and pair up on the river

Don't fire the second barrel unless a K or J or something comes up. I check this flop sometimes also.
