After reading both pages of all this back and forth, I sure hope the moral of this story amounts to:

"ZOMG Hellmuth actually fell for the old limp reraise with pocket aces - can you believe it!? lololol"

either that or

"I got 3 street called down all in by JTs - but hey I was committed preflop"

On a more serious note, I do believe dustbuster makes a good point that against this aggressive opponent on this board after a LRR preflop, I'd like to be calling off my stack rather than getting called (obviously hoping to rep the weak end of the LRR range that may or may not actually exist).

Thinking about it some more, not reloading is really really really really bad.

his bet sizing will be the main factor if i ever thought of folding here. vs a guy thats obviously sitting to just mess around id probably only fold this 1/1000th of the time and that would be if my cards were caught in a fire from the friction it generated turning the hand over.

interesting question you pose about 10% w/ 100bbs vs 10% w/ 250 bbs. i think that we should be more willing to go broke in the 250 bb pot since opponents are less likely to show up with a ten in the latter, and should favor pp's and big cards. perhaps they will also be less likely to screw around postflop, but overall i think that is the right conclusion.

yeah good point that in general bigger raises skew ranges strongly towards pairs and AK. an incentive to stack off.

to all who said c/c etc to induce action, i would often half-pot lead the flop then check turn to encourage our bluffer to bluff.

As much as anything, this thread illustrates the need for a SSNL forum devoted to live play. As one who only plays live, I have a hard time getting much from the hand posts from the online games. The shock and horror over the PF LRR in Sunny's hand indicates a clear disconnect in online v. live strategy.

i wouldn't divide them out. people get tied up in which is better. it doesn't matter. they are different animals. online play gives 10x the hands and datamining so people get better faster and can analyze their play far more effectively. online is more game theoretic in that people pay more attention to nonexploitability. live play introduces more of a patience / frustration factor and offers more information and considerably lower variance for a pro for a given number of hands. also, physical tells are serious business: how else does Hellmuth keep winning.

speaking from experience, the walk of shame to the lockbox sucks a lot more than an online transfer lol.
