Default (1/2) AQ in the SB

No real reads

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (10 handed) internettexasholdem.com

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
3 folds, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, 3 folds, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 calls, MP2 calls.

I probably have the best hand, but I'm out of position. I'm pretty sure I should raise here, because I likely have the best hand.

Flop: (8 SB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB folds, MP1 raises, MP2 folds, Hero calls.

Does this bet right here accomplish anything? I feel like there is a decent shot he interprets this as a c-bet, and is trying to take the pot. I also have two over-cards, so I think my action on the flop and turn makes sense.

Turn: (6 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

River: (8 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets, Hero calls.

I think there is still a good shot that he is trying to take the pot, and the 8 certainly didn't help him, so I can't fold getting 9:1.

Final Pot: 10 BB

Thoughts?

:g:
PF its not that far off between raising and calling.

Flop check or c-bet is meh, but I leand towards a check on this board since the 89 board hits a lot of limping hands and you will get c-r by many baby pps some sets and whatever aggro dude puts you on over cards.

Turn call with a gutshot, 1Q and 2 A outs.

River fold, (not close without a read) If Vil was raising with a straight draw, he either got there or paired up on turn.

I like your pf raise on these agro stakes.

Betting out does look like a a c-bet. I sometimes go for check raise here and then if no 3 bet comes back to you I bet out turn. (Might be a bit spewy for some.) Opinions on this?

As played. I check fold river

No for me I throw this away on the turn. Make sure you mix up your continuation bet lines when you are betting from OOP.

I would've folded on the turn. Two overcards does not mean 6 outs. 9,8,T... You are basically calling with a gutshot...

Fold the river. The only draws he could be semi-bluffing on the flop hit him in some way on the turn. I don't think we are good 1/10. Rest is fine.

calling the turn with 7 outs I missed the gutshot so turn just squeeks in.

Pf is fine. Flop c-bet is ok. You really won't get a definite answer on whether or not it's correct. In reality, it's close, and I think either is fine here. Turn call is fine. Fold the river. Every draw got there or paired up.

If leading is a c-bet, does checking look like aces?

If you were in position and it was just one bet, you could raise to clean up your outs/get a free card. Oop, it's spew.

how does the river improve any hand that isn't ahead on the turn?
