Haha yea, because Sony are known for high quality audio. Come on man. Sony are a mass market brand and the audio space is a space for specialist manufacturers. $500 won't even get you a single decent speaker. Hell, my headphone setup is worth triple that, and headphones are much cheaper than speaker systems. In fact my iPod headphones are more expensive than that =)
