Default Re: How much $ for sense of smell

I would never ever ever ever give up my sense of smell, who knows when you might need it to save your life from Carbon Monoxide or some other odorless gas?

Edit: Also, do you just lose the sense of smell, or is your nose completely gone?

Because if we're going for nose completely gone, it needs to be a sum where I'd never have to leave the house again.

that would be the sense i think i least care about.

sight > sound > touch > taste > smell

[/ QUOTE ]

Not having touch first means you aren't really thinking about it.

My buddy lost his sense of taste / smell from a head injury. Banged his head on a cement wall playing indoor soccer. Also, since we live in Canada, he will be lucky to get $150,000 from the insurance company. Lawsuit is still ongoing...happened 3 years ago. Not being able to smell / taste a beer and a steak on a day like today has to suck!

Depends on what you mean by touch. If it includes 'feeling' hot and cold, it's definitely the most important sense to have.

I'd go Touch > > Sight >>>> Hearing >>>>>> Taste > Smell
