Default hypothetical stolen cashout check question

Recently I cashed out some winnings by check from FullTilt. About 1 week ago my complex’s mail room door was kicked in and everyone got their mail stolen. Had the timing been bad and my FT check been stolen, would I have been able to work this out with support (cancel old check, send new one)? or would I have been SOL?

If this is actually a concern I'd suggest moving to a better neighbourhood.

You can probably stop payment if you know ahead of time (which is unlikely).
