Wii, 360, or PS3?

As a result of some health problems, I have to take some time off of poker. Hence, I have a lot fo free time to fill. I decided to use my Stars points to get a video game system to fill some time. Would you go with a Wii for 24k points, Xbox360 for 40k points, or PS3 for 42k points? Also, what games would you recommend? Thanks.

There's a ton of threads about this already if you search the forums a bit. Short version is it depends on what you want out of a console (what type of games do you like? who do you play them with? do you value good controls? do you value good graphics? etc, etc). There's a lot of factors that go into the decision, other than just the cost.

Really, your best bet is just to search old threads -- this topic has been covered in ridiculous depth around here.

I'm lazy so lets go for the short version: I like sports & action games, usually 1 player games, and prefer good controls over graphics.

agree. i had a wii and hated it. life was much better after getting a 360

got some 360 fanboys on here to recommend 360 over wii after u said this

if u said graphics>>controls, i wouldn't steer u to wii

He likes Sports games and action games. Those are best on the 360. Does he prefer decent games and good controls over good games and normal controls.

if he prefers controls over graphics, then madden on wii has better controls than madden on 360

for action games, metroid has much better controls than anything on 360

really need more info to help OP...what are ur top 10 games of all time? what are the top 10 games u've played in the past 5 years?

So you have exactly two games that you think that the controls are much better on Wii than on the Xbox 360...compelling case you make there.
