Default NL10 - Flopped set BVB, horrible river card

This hand played out a little strange, but my biggest question is about what to do on the river. I called his flopped C/R because I didn't want to blow away a weak A, and I wasn't as worried about the flush draw being heads-up. When he C/C the turn, I'm putting his range as a big A, 2 pair, or a draw. IMO the river is about the worst card possible, and I really wasn't sure whether to check behind or bet for value. What do you guys think?

Tough hand to say IMO. You're playing 10NL, I don't think somebody would honestly reraise you with a FLUSH draw. He probably has a worse hand than yours. I'd put him on Ax or maybe even Aces up.

I bet ~$5 here because I figure he has a weak ace here and will probably call.

I don't think you really have to worry about blowing this guy off a weak A if you raise him on the flop, but calling is fine too. River is pretty tough to say here though. I wouldn't always bet this river, it would depend on any reads I had on this guy. This does seem more like 2pr or Ax than a flush, though, so I would bet $6 or so for value on river.

Very unlikely to have a straight or flush here, I value bet the river with half pot bet. Big bet will probably see villain fold anything but a flush.

I push and expect to get called by an ace. I 3bet this flop every time though.

This is one reason why you 3bet the flop.

As played shove all-in and hope he calls you with an A.
