Default Motor City Casino

I am going to be at MCC this Saturday night. I was wondering:

a) what is the highest limit game (fixed limit) they will probably be running
b) how good the game is
c) what the wait for that game will probably be
d) if anyone else is going to be there that I should say hello to
e) anything else that I should be asking but didn't (I haven't been there for about a year and a half)

Thanks

(a) 10/20 Holdem. 5/10 Holdem. 3/6 Holdem on e-tables.

The room will be full, because the Pistons-Bulls games will be on those nice, flat screen monitors (Fri-Sat.)

Highest Limit game I've seen spread is 10/20. I was there two weeks ago, got there mid-afternoon Friday and took about an hour to get in the game. Place was packed from 6:00 PM till I left at Midnight. They started a feeder game as well so I'd think the max wait would have been about an hour? Game was really soft IMO. Just the right number of action players surrounded by some loose passive pez dispensers. Only issue I have (and it keeps me from playing there) is the rake. They rake to $6.00 plus a $1.00 for the Bad beat, add the buck I toss the dealer, and it comes out to a whopping EIGHT DOLLAR RAKE!!!. When I mentioned to the brush I'd never heard of such a thing, he commented "yep, highest rake in the country, and not an open seat".

Have fun and post a trip report if you get a chance.

a. 10-20
b. It's always good when it runs
c. Expect the wait to be long. Most likely they will only have one 10-20 game going and the rest will be no limit. You can call ahead of time and you have an hour to check in. I highly recommend that.

FWIW, there was open seating at the 10-20 game when I left the casino last night around 11pm

Make sure you say hello to the police and security and keep them in sight.

Where is the nearest security podium and where is the closest police station?
