I replaced bg6 thru bg9.dat and qt6 thru qt9 .dat with black images, but the default skins still show up. I'm using the sizable top view tables. Any suggestions?

This is in the Data folder.

Bill

You missed the one file you're after. Find one called top.dat and black it out. It's in the data folder with the rest of them.

Well Fozzy is showing me how to change the card backs. I don't know what I missed, but it looks like we can do whatever we need to with them, including making them bigger.

I've been messing with the background using ms paint. Is there any way to make it so that the file isn't pixelated when I save it (obviously a huge photo editing noob). Also, is there another free program that will avoid this? I've tried a couple but they don't support .dat files.

Just change the .dat to .jpg, click yes for the overwrite, and it'll act like any .jpg file. I've never tried it, but people recommend paint.net for free editing software.

Yeah but MSPaint doesn't seem to handle .jpgs well.

You will probably need some other editing software to make decent .jpg backgrounds.

Hey Dil I have been screwing with a bunch of stuff in panit and all the PK files I have been able to alter but I tried altering the resizable backs and they dont show up. Anyway to change the color on them? Wouldnt mind a bright green or something. My skeem is all black with dark red boxes around the avatars which I balcked out.

I spent hours trying to figure out the same problem. Then I talked to Fozzy71 on IM. He showed me how to make it work. Right now I'm looking at nice bright green card backs.

I don't think I understand what I'm doing well enough to explain it yet, but rest assured I'll have some card backs posted before too much longer.

I don't even know if it's possible to alter them without Photoshop or some other equivalent program. I haven't had any success with the card backs using ms paint.
