There was an article in Fortune this month about cheap online brokers, such as Zecco. They said Zecco makes money off of interest on cash balances, options fees, etc...

And funny enough they do pay me interest on my cash balance. My last statement said it was something like 2.2%. Not half bad.

Yea, and the make around 5% probably. I'm sure at the end of the year their profit margins are going to be pretty slim, at least compared to the other brokers.
