you're wrong, its exploiting flaws in the online structure
ratholers are scum

Yup.. its an error in the game as its set up with variable BIs. they just exploit an error in the system.. very sleazy. its a different game, no.. its called exploiting the rules to gain an unfair advantage over people that want to play for certain stakes.

[/ QUOTE ]

If the minimum buy-in is a certain amount, you should be allowed to sit at the table with that amount. I agree that ratholing isn't the best for the games, but there really isn't anyway to stop this besides the minimum time required to sit back at a table without buying in for what you left with. What would you advocate that could fix this problem, yet let joe recreational gambler plop down his minimum buy-in, donk around, double up and leave?

A game with variable buy-ins has different strategy, there will be different sized stacks no matter what.

I know people aren't going to agree with me on this, and I'm not expecting anyone too. I guess my main point is that people should be able to play within the rules of the game and use whatever strategy they desire. The advantage it has is making LAG play less profitable, but you limit yourself on how much you can win on a particular hand. If you think short-stacking isn't "real" poker, then tournaments aren't "real" poker, especially SNGs.

Goal was to move to 25NL by year's end. Made it just before the first 11K mark (not sure why there are two?).

December goal is just to play well and to have fun. The rest will follow.

Way to go LC! Happy for ya.

Play more hands. You have the skills to beat .25/.50, you just need the BR. GL

My goals for November were:

Play nl50 for 20K hands
Make $500 w/o bonuses

I played 20k hands, but not all at nl50 cuz sometimes I wasn't comfortable there early in the month. However, I ran goot mid-month and got the roll to close to 1k. I made just over 500 for the month, so I'll be grinding nl50 for December.

I'd like to do 15-20k hands and continue to be at 2+ ptbb and make $500+

If I succeed, the new year may call for new stakes...nl100???

Congratulations to those that had a killer month. Dilith and BodyManD stand out to me but I know there were a lot others.

My month was kinda meh but I'll definitely take it after struggling a little in October. I managed to take some time off for the Thanksgiving holiday which was great.

+$6070 in winnings
+$3000 in bonuses
0/6 in the VIP freerolls

December goals:
December should be a good month as I should clear $8,000 in bonuses.

1. Take some time off from poker for the holidays.
2. Limit my play to 20 tables to reduce misclicks and stupid mistakes that are costing me money.
3. Read Killer Poker By the Numbers.

I guess that's it. Merry Christmas everybody.
