Default How do you get away from a big hand?

I was playing 2/4 NL on Full Tilt.

I get dealt A,K d on the button. I raise to 30 Sm Blind calls, BB raises to 60.. I call sm blind folds.

Flop: K, 10, 4

BB goes all in. I call.

Pocket 10s... I am toast.

How do you guys get away from big hands? The other day I folded Pocket queens and the other 2 players had JJ and 10,10 it was about a 450.00 pot but I was getting beat left and right.

Serious question.. Thanks

Fold preflop and you will not be forced to make a decision for all of your chips.

Unlimited hold them, rewards set mining and bold plays when you hit those sets.

spending time in BBV won't help the situation...soon you'll be playing the same way with 46s...and go runner runner for the flush LDO

the moral of the story is...spend more time in BBV

I think the key to gettting away from a big hand is folding. There may be more too it but not that I know of. Try click the "fold" button when you play on the internetz. When you play live, you can just say "fold"

Your mistake was open-raising 7.5x bb with your AK on the button. The key is to open-shove with it. That way YOU put HIM to a decision for all his chips and you don't have to worry about getting away from anything.
