I want to get in a situation where every time I hit vegas, I have a free place to stay. Any mid-level strip hotel will do. shows, airport limos, golfing, etc is not necessary. Just a free room, limited blackout dates.

How much should I plan on losing?

this depends on the property.

at Paris - an upper mid-level strip resort you would need to play enough to win/lose 2k a trip to cover your room comps.

at Bally's - the same property/next door, but a step down also...you can cut that amount in half for a room comp.

it's all about getting a host and leveling with them. if you asked me that exact question - i'd take care of you as long as you played some limit for 2 or 3 hours a day, because a room comp alone is really nothing.

besides poker , whats the worst rated games in the casino and some of the best (not slots or vid poker)? whats the minimum bet at most table games to get rated (on avg)

More specific where do games like Baccarat and 3 Card poker play in here vs say Black Jack and Craps.

Lastly when getting chips on a table, if i get a grand in chips but only are playing 10 dollar bets , does the K i just put down make a diff, would I be better off say cashing in 200 dollars and laying 25 dollar bets

2 or 3 weeks ago at bellagio.

my wife and I both playing linked 'ratings' (if that makes sense).

first time getting rated

thurs/fri/sat

total: 35 hours or so; average bet 65$ playing mostly pai gow

i basically got 1 room night comped and a breakfast...does that sound right?

okay - best and worst are strange words. roulette is the table game (next to the goofy ones like the spinning wheel) that has the best odds for the house. this means, if you play 50 dollars a spin there, you are going to get rated higher than if you play 50 dollars a hand on blackjack because the casino is going to win more from you. time is also factored in though...so if you are at a slow roulette table, this matters. baccarat is the lowest hold for the casino in tables...so the slowest in building ratings. to be honest i don't have any serious 3 card poker players so i don't know where it ranks...i would guess closer to the goofy wheel than bacc though.

as for getting chips at the table...it's better to open a credit line. this is true EVEN if you're not opening a large one. the casino will get more accurate ratings on you if you are playing with money they loaned you. it's interest free, and your ratings will be correct...it won't matter how much you bet or color in for.

if you don't want a credit account...you could put up front money...this is an option where you say, give the casino 2k on your way in...and then pull markers off of your own money so you don't have to carry the cash around on you. this will also ensure good ratings.

if neither of those options work for you...cash in whatever amount you want...but start your bets at the highest amount you will be wagering. if you are gonna be playing 100 dollars a hand at some point...start there. you can't fool the casinos...but it's better to get started on a number in your favor than vice versa.

at a place as 'high end' as Bellagio...that sounds about right. in fact, they probably gave you a bit of boost because it was your first time. next time on the same ratings you may not get breakfast. take that same action around the corner to say, Monte Carlo and you probably have all three of your nights comped. you go downtown you're almost full R, F, & B.

that's pretty cool i suppose.

it seems that bellagio is linked also with MGM and Mirage...

so does it mean I could go to either of those and be treated better based on my play than bellag?
