Default Guidelines For Posting Hands In Strat Forums... ?

When posts are started by posters, is there a way to get them to :

Label it correctly ... And by that I mean, set up a policy that for a hand to be posted it has to be titled correctly with Site/Level/Hand....or is this just being too anal...

Ie :

Party 200NL 6 max - QQ bvb
PS 400NL HU - AA 3Bet on Ragged Flop
FT 100NL 6max - Turned Set with 66 etc..

It'd just make the forums so much easier to read and people would be able to go to specific levels a lot easier than opening up poorly labelled threads...

va, u mind pointing out some threads in particular, or were those examples above?? those look fine to me tbh, and i usually don't have problems getting a good idea of the thread from the title...maybe just me though...

Suigin.

The examples I gave were what I think it should be like...?

It may appear to be nitty...but I have to open each hand to see what site it was played at ....and comparing PS --- PP --- FT isn't easy as they don't all play the same.... Same with UB hands as they have a bet pot button etc...

Basically, looking back in SSNL, i think that maybe if people added the site to the titles it maybe make it a little clearer...

Maybe its not that much of a big deal...

Yeah, I kinda agree with OP (although it's pretty anal alright), but to be fair in the uNL and SS forums I visit probably 70% of posts do conform to this anyway. And the posts that don't are usually from newbs who tend to start doing it after a while.

As you know, it is recommended that people post the stakes in their thread title. I understand why the site might be important to you, but depending on reads and table conditions sometimes FT plays Party and vice versa. I wish people would pay more attention and post some reads as opposed to villain was 26/14/1.9 over 72 hands.

I'll link this thread to the SSNL cheese thread as food for thought.......

4_2_it,

I agree with the reads... and not just PAHUD reads...

Background info to how "Hero" is playing also massively helps I guess... Although, admittedly some hands are very early into sessions etc....so little info can be given here...

Most sites do play similarly, so there is more validity in reads as opposed to where the actual hands take place...

Vava,

I've posted this before, and people just don't seem to listen - so mostly I ignore those threads.

Also, I think people make boring thread titles which doesn't help them much - myself included. Something like 'Interesting turn decision' or 'fold or call?' doesn't stand out at all.
