It is if you are playing 2500 to 5000 hands a night.

PT or PO pays for itself in value even at the micro limits. Get it as soon as possible.

I have always been curious as to how much PT helps you at the lower limits. Is it also worth getting PAHUD since the turnover is so high?

if you are only playing 1 or 2 tables ... you don't need either (though, PT is good to review your hands and general play)

but, try playing 10 tables without both and you'll die

If you multitable then I say yes. ALso I play offpeak, mostly at stars these days, and I see the same players there day in day out.

OH and I almost forgot to mention that the 'show mucked hands' feature is probably worth $25 alone. As a multitabler I simply dont always have time to go into HH and check what someone lost with but when its right there on my HUD Im able to see it and maybe even get a sweet read that will be mo money for me later.

lets not start another big debate on whether or not you should use a hud all the time. Yes sometimes pahud is used as a crutch, yes it can be liberating to turn it off and get real reads and yes (at least in my opinion) it would probably be difficult to multitable without it.

Are you using PAHUD to reduce your variance?

The only thing PAHUD does is confirm the stupidity of the players you are up against.

If you use PAHUD to figure out who the idiots are then I suggest you are using it wrong.

As far as reducing your variance....I would suggest the opposite.

PAHUD basically allows you to see mucked card information without having to dig.

Now if you didn't actually watch the betting pattern of the player and compare it to the mucked hands, its not going to tell you much.

However if you map the betting patterns to the mucked information as well as the made information, you are able to see when it is probable that pushing your edge will warrant more profit to you because its likely the player you are up against is making a lot of mistakes.

By pushing this edge against these opponents, variance must go up.

Variance is bandered about as a bad thing. I don't think it is.
