Default how swingy is limit holdem?

My bankroll goes up and down 50/100bbs every night playing 4/6 tables of 50/1 lhe. Is this normal?

In my last 10k hands I had 2 downswings almost 100BB large so... yes, it's normal. Of course it also depends on your playing style and your opponents a bit (aggressive games have higher variance).

BTW, what's your standard deviation per 100 hands anway? Check in PT.

Probably playing style. Mine doesn't vary that much as a rule, more like +/- 20BB, 2 tabling for a couple of hours. I play a variance averse style though so mine may not be helpful.

Whew, this is not normal, IMHO. 100BB swings sure happen, but not on a daily basis, lol.

Just wondering, what are your VP$IP and PFR?

50-100BB isnt that big a deal if someone is playing 4-6 tables. say you play for 5 hours on 6 tables, the same as 30 tables hours, 50 BB deviation is standard

In this case, 50-100BB session swings are not uncommon, but they should generally not be occurring like every session over, say 20 sessions.
