How does VPIP compare to P/F

How does VPIP in PT and gametime+ stats compare to the stat that a a site normally gives of players per flop (P/F) ?
Seems on average to be about 10% difference, e.g.
VPIP 20: P/F 30

However, I don't believe that makes sense mathemtaically.

In a full ring game, 10 handed, I like ~40% for p/f but that's hard to find... my VPIP shifts according to what type of game it is. A 10% difference sounds about right...

Sorry, I meant the stat that Gametime+ or PAHUD show on the screen, i.e. the VPIP of all players at the table each hand. I presume this means anyone who enters the pot who isn't in the blinds (unless they call or raise).
The figure always seems to be different to what the site states and I can only think this is because the blinds sometimes check therefore not contributing to the whole table's VPIP.

40% ! - I don't think I've ever found a table with 40%. 32-35% is just about the best I can ever find even on sites like iPoker.

The ~10% in full ring can be accounted for by the BB in an unraised pot. SInce he sees the flop but doesnt VPIP.

So, if the table VPIP reads > 25% then it's a decent table to play on?

On line, 40% is almost always a great game.

When I started playing, I always looked for 30-30 games playing 2-4. 30% to the flop, and $30 avg pot. If you could find a game like that, you could just play tight, and you could grind out wins without too much trouble. Now, its hard to find games like that.

But, if you play live, I believe that it's rare to find games as tight as 30%.
