3bet preflop vs Lagtag, check flop oop

villain is metches, I have him at 25/16/3.5 over decent sample. I am 17/13/3. I checked the flop with the intention to checkraise. He took some time calling my 3bet preflop, my read was that he called with a medium pocket pair. We have some history, and I`m pretty sure he would have 4bet preflop with KK-AA or AKs.

I kind of took an unusual line in this hand, since I generaly CBet this flop, and I think that villain knows that I usualy Cbet this board. I think he is capable of floating my Cbet here, and would view my checking as me being tricky.

Also, I think I should have bet 12$ on the turn.

I dont really like this line. His weaker pocket pairs are more inclined to call this turn than the flop imo. I only like a flop check here if you are planning to crai.

No way on earth he would check this flop a med pair. If he calls with TT preflop he is comfortable felting it on this board and noway he is giving you a free card. You either have the best hand or he is tarping you with 99. I dont like the turn at all unless you think he can have 87 here.
