Default $5: Push or fold, right?

Sorry, can't get the converter working right...

I was watching a friend play a tourney when this hand came up.

I asked him why he just called the bet. He said because he thought MP was on a steal. To which I responded - 'why not push over the top if that's the case?' Is that the correct advice?

He was not planning on a stop-n-go.pushing any flop (check folding if missed).

I said I think this hand is push or fold pf...just looking for confirmation/opinion from you guys. Thanks.

Yeah, i'd lean toward fold.

You've got very little fold equity here when you push.
