Default nl10: my AK cbet is minraised on a low flop

I'm playing really tight, 10/10/i, but villain has only been at the table about 20 hands. He's showing some laggish tendencies, but I didn't note his stats at the time:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.10 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums)

SB ($28.75)
BB ($1.90)
Hero ($25.30)
MP ($6.65)
Button ($13.25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero raises to $0.4, MP calls $0.40, 1 fold, SB calls $0.35, BB calls $0.30.

Flop: ($1.60) 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets $1.25, MP raises to $3, SB folds, BB folds, Hero ???

Little chance to improve, and I'll never know where I stand if he keeps betting, so I'm inclined to fold, even though I might have the best hand.

Do I even cbet here in the first place?

I don't cbet here often but i'm a postflop nit. Very easy fold now that he's raised.

The c-bet is fine - Since you want to take it down now, I'd probably make it $1 even. Anyone willing to call $1 will call a larger bet, and you're done with the hand if anyone calls.

Once you're raised (and MP raised half his stack, so you have no fold equity if you come over the top), it's an easy fold.

I usually cbet the flop with AK, but if I don't hit and my AK has few outs to improve, I'll fold to a raise. Ace high is not exactly the kind of hand I want to see showdown with.

I really think cbetting here as your standard line is a mistake. A lot of people think it's weak to check/fold here and they are wrong. You raised with AK here to try and get lots of money in on ace and king high flops, not to win the pot 100% of the time.

That's what I get for trying to make strategy posts at 1:30 in the morning. It didn't register that you have 4 to the flop. Heads-up I'll fire a c-bet pretty much 100% of the time, but here a c/f is fine.
