Damn, 12 years old and a wicked swing. The future is bright for Thompson.

What's with all of the hot chicks in golf? Before watching women's golf was painful. Now they actually have a few to look at.. Sooooooo much better.

I got to watch a little of the coverage yesterday and was bummed that NBC stopped right at 6pm ET. The leaders had played what, 1 hole?

No internet feed. No overtime coverage (unlike the men's open). No early day coverage on another channel. Gee, you think the suits at NBC give a rip about this tournament?

3rd round coverage just ended on ESPN2 (the coverage began at 8:00am Eastern). Pressel made a big par putt of about 20 feet on #18 to keep her momentum going. She and Kerr are the American hopefuls today.

They have to like their chances, although Ochoa being right there will keep the pressure dialed to max.

It'll be hard to decide who to root for this afternoon ... hopefully Amy Hung puts up a good number.

Back in the day, an LPGAer named Amy Hung would've meant something entirely different and been very popular at the annual Dinah Shore freakery.

Past U.S. Women's Open winners Birdie Kim and Se Ri Pak are 5 back at +1. Let's see if one of them can shoot a 67 or 68 and post a number (a la Cabrera in the men's U.S. Open a few weeks ago).

Three birdies in three holes for Kyeong Bae. Nice start.
