Default Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV

Has anyone attended one of these in the past? I'm curious as to what the average field size is for the smaller events.

250-350 for NL events, depending on day of week, time of day and buyin. Saturday 6pm ones are the largest.

It's listed on Cardplayer.com but not cherokeecasino.com yet.

I don't know how you found that, but good job. No tourney structure info, sadly.

Winstar should take some cues from this on how to host an "event"

sirtimo: I've been hoping for that for like a year now. If only because I don't want to ride 5 hours to play again. And the thought of a HORSE tourney under an hour away makes me drool.

played in a super sat last year and busted a few from the entry. played in a 300+30 side event and we 9-way chopped the final table for 3300 each at about 2:30am the night before the ME started b/c a few of the final table were to play the next day in the ME and wanted it over (yes, great deal for me as a shorter stack and very few wanted to play another 2-3 hours).

fun casino, tournys seemed well run to me, but i don't go to a lot of them, so i'm probably not the best opinion. but we had fun and i made $ so i'll be going back this year to try the super sat again and play in a few of the lessor events.

I played an O8 and NLHE tourney there for a prev SN tourney... tourney was relatively well run despite having to argue with the first dealer that the event was not PLO... stupid NLHE players didn't know what they paid for. I went and grabbed the tourney sheet to reduce confusion. Room is very nice, I frequently say Winstar has a lot to learn from the way it's run.
