Villain seems standard 19/17/3 TAG player. Haven't seen him bet this big on any street before.

Maybe with history given your read you can justify a call putting him on a FD. Personally I just pick a better spot. I think we see Ace rag, using Q board kicker trying to scare you alot here.

flop raise is fine, usually i give up if called...

wouldn't betting river have been much better than calling this, though obviously u were hoping for a check behind...

i think he may have a Q/midpair/A trying to get u off an A here, bluffing with the best hand kind of thing...

edit: actually, a Q is prolly not a likely holding given flop action, an A might be and he might be getting tricky with the turn check

I like.

He checks behind on turn so he is unlikely to have a monster. If he is playing for pot control on the turn why does he bet so big on the river. The only hand I can think of is A2 and even that might bet turn.

Whereas his play is very typical of a diamond draw.

Doesn't make much sense for him to bet this big.

You either have air (or something turned into a bluff), or you are doing some kind of fancy tarp (missed turn c/r, etc).

He shouldn't just bet $66.

Look to me like the only hands in his range you are beating are KJ and 33, or am I wrong? Maybe some SCs? There are so many hands in his range that have you beat, and so few that you actually beat. Moreover, he would be making quite a weird play without anything. I would probably say he has sth like TT, or maybe a weak ace or a Q.

this all seems kind of...wrong to me.

betting the river would be a bluff and we can't really expect him to fold anything besides a draw after he called the flop raise and turn went check check. so vs. a draw, check/calling is better of course.

also seems like he would try to showdown a Q. there's no chance he could bluff us off here if we were check/raising the flop for value.

i think the calls is good his range is pretty polarized...either a wierdly played monster or a draw or a 2 with a flush draw. and given he probably (not definitely though) plays a monster differently i think he has a draw most of the time.

i hate it. also, it seems like you should be leading the turn.

as an aside, im not sure that this is a good board to be c/r. what hands is a decent tag going to put you on? you 3-bet most aces preflop, you 3-bet QQ preflop, so you either have 55 or a draw or air. if you had AJ, you would probably c/c, etc.
