Default New easier irons?

Situation is that I am officially 6 handicapper, at my best times I was 5 and consistently broke 80. I have been playing as a hobby since I turned 13, but because I have played only like 20 rounds a year in last couple of years and havenīt practised at all I am really about ~13 handicapper ATM, maybe about a 10 after I get a couple of practise sessions.

I currently have Apex FTX irons and before these I had 690.CB:s, but now I have been thinking that since I am not as good as I used to be I would get better results with some easier irons. What are your opinions about new TM R7-irons (non-TP ones)? I have also been considering Mizuno MX-25:s - someone has been able to hit both of these and therefore is able to compare? Other suggestions?

Honestly I'm not convinced there is such a thing as easier irons. I have always used blades and have from time to time tried more "forgiving clubs". All I get from them is inconsistent feel and distance control. I would stick with the Apex irons, but I would look at trying to find a good club fitter who knows their stuff, and get shafts that really suit you.

Mizuno makes some great forged game improvement irons the MX-25's being one of them. If you want to go with a cast iron your options are pretty unlimited i like Ping and Cleveland but there are tons of options. If you want to stick with a forged iron the Mizzy MX series is a great way to go.

The only thing i hate about the MX series is the stock offerings for their shafts. I would special order a set with some dynamic golds personally.

I kinda disagree. For example I tested Nike slingshots last year and I could definitely say that they are more forgiving than my apexes. Of course the feel is different story then.

Get the Mizuno MP-60s or whatever the latest model that looks like them is. Forged with enough cavity to give some forgiveness, but they dont lose feel.

The 60's are the best feeling club I have ever hit but they are clearly players clubs. Probably not a match for what the OP is looking for. Super sweet iron though.
