Default 10NL - Q7s against laggy donk

This guy was a very loose player who was mixing between aggression and being passive, but in general was a calling station. Against a solid player I'd probably fold this pre, but I'm trying to get involved in more pots with him because he's so weak.

Just wondering if I played it ok and what would you do differently on any street.

Perhaps I would`ve raised the flop but still I think you played it fine.

That`s just me though.

He bet the pot again for $7 and I folded after using up my 15 second time bank. I REALLY wanted to call the river, but the only thing that stopped me was the 4 card straight draw on the board.

how has no one said fold preflop yet? Q7s is a worthless hand to be calling raises with even against the player you described.

this is fine if hes aggressive, but you said he is passive sometimes. I'd like it more if you had a more solid read on your opponent, because from the OP i think your read is a little murky

I've already calling preflop raise from the blinds with hands like 94o and 34o, calling to the river with 4th pair, etc.

CR forums have said several times either raise/fold preflop which I can understand taking control of the pot.

But I'm thinking against a player that isn't likely to fold to a 3 bet preflop, I'm better off playing more pots against him in position. And while Q7 is easily dominated it's not something I would have trouble throwing away if I hit the Q. Honestly if the turn was an over that wasn't a diamond I would've chucked it.
